Hello guys,

Firstly let me tell you that we all need to hold a funeral for our forum. The server which hosted our forumer crashed big time and the people from the company became devdas. That’s a very bad omen. There’s a possibility that we may never get back the smiles, tears, anger and dreams(read 18000 posts) that we’ve left in our forum. But that’s not a problem(!), we can always start off new with the forum in our new site which is waiting to be launched. The new forum is so good, you won’t even need a darn topic to talk about. You’ll just wanna post, post and post……

So now that you know why the forum ain’t loading anymore, I hope you’ll start praying that the forum gets back safe and sound. Check this blog and the www.hell-anime.blogspot.com blog for any update on the issue.

On to our next issue. Before we bought our server, we had a roundtable conference in a squared table in one of the thousand unhealthy food courts in Bashundhara City, trying to conjure a name for our new site. You may be wondering, why need a new name? What’s so wrong with “team otaku”? Then hear me out, Team otaku is terribly wrong >_< “otaku” is a slang in Japan, which means maniac. So basically, all this time the name of our community was “a bunch of maniacs”==> it’s terribly emo, which we’re not >_> We tried to think up a name or two but all the names we came up with turned out to be already taken, so someone came out with the name “hellanime” and thus, the name of our brand new community became “hellanime- the First bangladeshi anime community”. At first, we sounded emo. Now, we sound like freaks. There is another problem with “hellanime”. If we have that name, then the only style we’ll ever be able to use in our forum and site is a hellish one. A light theme will look funny in a site named “hellanime”. Sure, the forum will look ultra-cool in a demonic theme with fiery-skull icons and black-red gradient colour scheme, but it may so happen that we’ll come across a colourful and better theme and we’ll badly want to use it but if we use it, people will laugh at us. It just won’t fit with the mood. To change the mood, we gotta change the name from hell to something community-based.

This is where you come in. If you have any good names in your mind, then please post them by sending comments(I hope you know how to send comments in a blog. If you don’t, then go to blogger.com and<ahem> spam in random blogs</ahem>). You’re free to post comments as much as you want and don’t be shy about your name sounding foolish. You never know which one might actually turn out to be good.

Here’s the catch- the names must not contain “anime” or “ani” or “otaku”(shinobi bhai specifically hates otaku and we must respect his feelings) in any part of them because they’re too common. The names should be unique, like mazecity.net(remember Getbackers?), hiddenleafvillage.com(remember naruto?) etc. It’s better if they’re taken from an anime and refers to any specific object of an anime. The names can also be taken from outside, but they should have a resemblance to anime.

The construction work of the new forum is already going on, but we may also open another forum in our server to keep in touch with each other until the original forum gets back.
